The Idea

The client wanted the peonies from her grandmother’s garden, but with weight — nothing soft or pastel. Something that would still look deliberate in thirty years.

The client wanted the peonies from her grandmother’s garden, but with weight — nothing soft or pastel. Something that would still look deliberate in thirty years.

The Design

Marcus drew the flowers oversized and let the petals wrap the forearm, using negative space instead of grey shading so the piece stays crisp as it ages.
