BEHIND THE PIECE

from idea to ink

The Idea

A tribute to the client’s father, who everyone called the old lion. He brought one photograph and a lot of stories.

The Design

Noah built the portrait from soft grey wash layers, keeping the eyes sharp and letting the mane dissolve into the shoulder’s natural curve.
